The sarcastic manager Alfonso lied to my face when I asked when they started making margaritas with lemon mix. He responded "we've always made them that way". We had been going there for a few years and only recently did they change the mixes from the lime to lemon. We watched the place decline for a while as well, but luckily there's a Mexican place around the corner who knows how to make margaritas. Oh and if any law enforcement see this, Alfonso likes to serve alcohol to underage drinkers at the bar.
I was driving to Charleston SC, and stopped by Monks Conner to say hi to some friends. Looked up where to eat, ended up here. Initial feeling walking in, place is clean, spacious, nice decor. I sat in the bar to watch the NFL Sunday line up on 3 different big screens. I asked for the TV changed and was approached by the young manager who knew his stations and quickly found the Falcons game. Happy I began to look through the extensive, but appetizing menu, which offers your nacho, taco, fajita style of Mexican food. Being a fan of chicken I went with the Grilled chicken quesadilla, rice, and salad. Chicken was perfectly grilled, still soft keeping moisture and melting with the cheese. Salad was fresh with juicy tomatoes, and rice buttery. YUM! Bartender made conversation as I asked about local hangouts, and when it came time to pay there were no delays. Service was fast, food was great, and If I'm back in Monks Corner, I'll definitely stop by.
Best Mexican restaurant in Berkeley County! Awesome atmosphere and outstanding service.
Don't even bother with this place if you like or know anything about mexican food. The service was lousy and the food was greasy!
great everything
