Food was great. I had pulled pork and sausage with greens and red slaw. My wife had the etouffee. I would highly recommend everything except the greens, which were bland. Pork was really smoked well with great sauce options, sausage stands on it's own and the red slaw was a delicious counterpoint to all that smokey goodness. Also, go with the hushpuppies. Everything was very reasonably priced as well and the place has a nice, laid back atmosphere. Would definitely go back.
Ordered the chicken plate and was given dark meat with gristle and fat in chunks. We were not told white meat was an option. When I told the waitress we didn't like it, she just said 'sorry' and took our plates we were not offered a substitution. Sides were OK. Restaurant needs a good cleaning. I suggest trying some of the other nice restaurants in Landrum.
Good service, nice atmosphere. Ultamite rib combo a great price for two to try all their bbq items.
We've been twice now. Once for an evening meal and once for their Sunday brunch. You just can't beat it for great barbeque and ribs. Great value for the money. And the Sunday buffet was excellent. I ate way too much, but the Southern cooking was too good to pass up. This will be a regular spot for us and one we'll take guests to.
Best bbq in south carolina and north! None has even come close it to!!!
