I was disappointed by my visit. The food was uninspired, the salad bare with no croutons, the chair broken, a light out, the candle out of oil and they started cleaning before the 10 o'clock closing time. I felt the meat was thin and unmarbled. Portions were large but I didn't want to take any home, bread was good and butter. Our waitress was nice but didn't pour the wine for sampling nor refill glasses. The bartender did great on our drinks. Overall, for the price, I felt rushed and that there are better places in the area.

Over the years, The Galley has improved their food and their ambiance. The outdoor patio dining is exceptional in the summer if you get there in time for a sunset view! While it is not the finest of dining, it certainly is a very nice evening out. There are entrees and appetizers for all palates. I would also suggest their sister restaurant, NAMI, just next door. Don't be worried if you aren't a sushi eater, there are PLENTY of "regular" entrees from which to choose at this wonderful eatery. Contrary to the previous review, the prices are NOT outrageous, unless you are not accustomed to dining out in more upscale places. The prices vs. the food and portions are quite appropriate.
This is an upscale place so expect higher prices. Average entree is not $5.00. Expect to pay about $10++ a person. They have a variety of items to choose from. They have a poached pear salad which is very good and different. They have seafood and steaks. So keep in mind this is an upscale establishment you do not necessarily have to dress very fancy since it is at a marina so everyone is welcome. Just use your best judgment. Also, it is good to make reservations in advance because on the weekends it does fill up quick most of the time. I would recommend this restaurant for birthdays, romantic evenings, holiday parties etc. It is more of an adult environment.
