My wife (Natalia) and I absolutely love everything about The Springfield Grill!!! The atmosphere,the cleanliness, the service, and most of all the quality of the food!!! We live in Pgh. and have a trailer in Mercer. We eat at out a lot and our favorite restaurant is The Springfield Grill! Thanks to all the employees! for example, Tom, Matthew, Debbie and Alexi....... I attended a birthday party on 09/08/2013. There were 18 people in the party. The seating for all was very inadequate. Essentially there were small tables lined up in an aisle way between two rows of booths. There was very little room (less than 2 feet) between our chairs on the long sides of the seating and the booths that were behind us on each side. We literally were seated in the main aisle way with traffic trying to pass us frequently. It was very frustrating to us and I am sure it was also frustrating to those trying to just enter and exit. There were small tables put together to form one long one so every other person had to eat with a crack under their plate and because there were so many people at such small tables, it was very difficult to fit everything on the table (IE: appetizer plates, glasses , flatware, salads, and entrees), we even had to have the wine lists removed because there was no room for them. I am not sure why we were not put in the party room, as it was empty the whole time we were there and we had a reservation a week ahead of time, so it was no surprise that 18 people were coming. The food was tasty, albeit the lettuce in the salad could have been a little fresher, and the food did seem somewhat tepid by the time we got it, but I am sure that they were trying to bring entrees all at one time, so I can kind of understand this. I will definitely go back, as the food was delicious, however for a party larger that 4, I will find a place with more adequate accommodations.
Food was excellent, service was exceptional and atmosphere was cozy. Would highly recommend.
Went to a catered birthday party and it was subpar. Food was ok, not great. Steak was too tough, chicken too plain, potatoes too old and dry. Nice place with nice staff, but what's the point if food is tasteless?
