Primanti Bros.

I've stopped in a few times. It can get loud in here, and there is often a wait - both to get seated (especially if you hit during lunch/dinner rush) and with service. They are famous for cole slaw & fries on their sandwiches. Their food is good, not amazing, but good. It is located right next to the outlet mall, so it's a great place to grab a bite to eat after/before shopping.
Was there Sunday Sept. 21st. My wife and I both had the "PittsBurger" sandwich. Service was excellent. The sandwich with the exception of the burger itself was good. The burger is a weird color and texture, and had very little flavor. It did not resemble any grilled burger patty I had ever seen. I'll go back again but will get a different meat.
Aside from the obvious father/son pair arguing right next to me at the bar... Which Primanti is not at fault for... The bartender was less than attentive then asked me if I wanted a box for the other half of my sandwich when I was three bites into the first half. And about the sandwich. You're better off going to the original. I've been there and I don't know what makes the idea of being a chain sound so good when a location like this one at Grove City would pump out anything less than the standard that was set. The sandwich was lame. So I'll probably leave the box, thanks. Also got to hear some lovely smack-talking by three waitresses about a couple that seated out on the patio. Well shit remind me not to sit on the patio the next time I never come back. What a shame how this location is shitting on the name of this establishment. I wouldn't be back if I had a gift card.
We love the Thursday night special. 1 large pizza, large salad and 2 liter of pop. (To go) ALL FOR UNDER $20.00.
my mother, grandmother and i went out to grove city (FROM MONROEVILLE PA) to have a nice shopping day. my grandmother and mother never ate at primanti brothers, so we decided to have brunch there before we shopped. first off we were the only african americans in the whole establishment. the waitress (forgot her name.. think it was lindsay or katie, something, she had red hair and was like 5'4) TERRIBLE! idk if she judged us from the jump and thought we were gonna tip poorly (even though my mother ALWAYS tips 20%) but she was RUDE AND WAS taking care of every other table around us EXCEPT FOR US. my mom ordered a beer, after 10 minutes she came back with it, my mom kindly asked for a glass, she then came back WITH A DIRTY GLASS AND SLAMMED IT ON THE TABLE AND QUICKLY WALKED AWAY! point is she was rude.. i complained to the manager, and he gave us a 50 dollar gift card. yea it was a nice gesture but i rather have BETTER SERVICE THAN A PAY OFF. p.s the food was terrible. the lime and honey wings were excellent though.. cole slaw was yuk. and of course the service was crap
