Blue House Cafe

This place rocks. My friend brought me here after hiking in Stub Stewart State Park. It's perfectly located in Vernonia's downtown. Their gyros are really good and the guys working there were super friendly. They don't serve sodas so one of the guys made me a drink he made himself, which was deeelicious. I'm definitely making this my go to spot if I want to eat before getting home. Another cool thing about this place is that you can walk around the area and pick up historical information, without having to go far. #GoogleCityExpert #PDXCityExperts
We did the Vernonia to Banks (and back again) bike ride and stopped off for a bite to eat afterward. The town itself strikes you as one of those places where good food got lost, never to be seen again, but we were dead wrong with that assumption. The food was incredibly good, with "I want to go back" in every bite. Very laid back environment and a place to park your bike, without it being messy or bothersome. You will not be disappointed with making your one-stop food visit at the Blue House Cafe - Go eat the Lamb Burger, medium well done. One of the best burgers I have tasted for a long time.
Had a great lamb Gyro sandwich. Beer is great also. Courteous staff. Will return again.
We eat here at least once a month, really good food! I'm not too hot on the burgers, personal preference, but everything else is delicious! Bring $20.00 per person and you'll have enough for an entrée, drink and dessert. Sparsely decorated with a lot of blue glass and "eastern decor", a small book case rounds out the decor. A sizable outdoor eating area is really pleasant in the warmer months. Family owned and operated, house made everything and familiar faces make this a nice place to be, throw in great food, and you'll be hooked.
Fantastic. They care about ingredients, and surprise surprise, the food tastes delicious, all of it. Friendly people, too. Definitely coming back here this summer.
