Geppetto's Italian Restaurant and Bar
Reviews

If this was my first visit to Geppettos,I would not comeback.I have had pretty decent lunches in the past,so I decided to try Geppettos for dinner,It was not a good experience, the server seemed as if she were in a race or on some kind of speedy drug.I ordered the Bay shrimp linguine,at last check, bay shrimp are on the larger side, right? These shrimp appeared and tasted like they came out of a can,the pasta was ok,the wine sauce tasted as if they nuked a glass of sweet white wine, and the amount of capers was waaaay to many,oh and for some reason when I first got my order I was served mushroom linguine,3 minutes later was served the shrimp linguine. The garlic bread was stale and didnt taste like garlic bread and the tortelini soup was probably heated chicken broth made with tortelini from the bulk food section at Winco. So I dunno what went wrong this night in their kitchen, but this dinner was lousy and the tiny tip I left hopefully gives em a hint on how I felt.I will give them one more try,if my experience is this bad again I will be back.

3.8 stars???? Pinocchio obviously rated this restaurant. First off my daughter and I ordered the Bruschetta with caramelized onions, rosemary and mozzarella cheese. Generally bruschetta comes on sliced pieces of toasted good Italian bread. NOT the case. This untantalizing morsel came on a hoagie bun with three glops of some kind of mixture that looked like, well lets just say I had a cold last week. But being brave and unwavering my daughter and I tried a bite of this concoction. One bite was all it took. We than anxiously awaited our main course. (Mostly out of fear, and we're not disappointed.) I ordered the linguini with sautéed mushrooms in a cream and wine sauce. The linguini noodles were cooked to the high standard of your high school cafeteria. Then the noodles were covered with what I believe to be cream of mushroom soup with a little wine thrown in for good measure. Some mushrooms of unknown origin were than thrown on as well. When my boyfriend was a child his dad would boil up some noodles and throw a can of cream of mushroom soup and call it dinner. I believe they got the recipe from him. My daughter ordered the three cheese manicotti. The good thing about manicotti is that you can find it in the freezer isle at your local grocery store. Geppetto's, however, did not use one of these, which was a shame. All and all this was a horrible place to eat how it has remained open since 1974 boggles the mind. The waitress asked if we wanted a to go box, but alas I did not want to be so cruel to my dogs. PS. it wouldn't let me post with out at least one star, undeserving as it might me.

Excellent ravioli and lasagna. We were just passing through town and stumbled upon the restaurant. Food was delicious and so was the vanilla cheesecake. Will probably go back again before leaving town.

Prego and Ragu are gourmet compared to the sauce that they have there.

not bad. Food was delivered piping hot in their stated 45 minutes. Fettucini alfredo was pretty good, garlic bread not the best, but ok. Salad was just a bit small. unimpressed by the stapled bags? Who cares?? They go right in the trash.anyway.
