If you are passing through Or. and like to play golf then you MUST play this course. You can stay in Roseburg, just 20 min from the course. My wife and I played the course last week and loved it. Its a nice course for the woman to play with the tee boxes up from the men's tee boxes The greens were outstanding and true. ITS A FIVE STAR
Great place to play golf. Recommend a cart though. It would be a long course to walk.
Very interesting course with the speedy greens with many undulations coupled with some great elevation changes. Loved the tee balls from the high tee boxes. The experience started before my arrival with the friendly voice of Brian Sacket, (the pro?) and when I arrived he was so helpful and upbeat it made the day and the round. I will go back and see if I can figure the greens out. If you're in the area do yourself a favor and play. My handicap is 16 and I did not play to it, but hope to do better next time.
I am an 8 handicap, live in Missouri and play often everywhere I go. Visiting relatives in Oregon, I walked this course on Sept 15, 2010 and had the time of my life, The course is beautiful to look at, the greens putt true and fast, the members are very friendly, and the price was extremely reasonable. Myrtle Creek has lots of elevation changes and gives you lots of different looks. The sand bunkers are a dark green/gray color due to its nickle content I was told, but play like the regular stuff. I highly recommend this course! Ron Wright
