O'Holleran's Restaurant & Lng
Reviews

I went here New Years Eve for dinner. I was not disapointed in anything. My steak dinner was one of the best I have had. It is very clean inside and outside. The service was very good. I would rate this small restaurant AAA+

Visited while on business trip. Had the filet and prawns. The filet was ordered rare and cooked perfect. The prawns were large and hot temperature wise. The steak was rested just enough. Nice and juicy, not over seasoned at all. I asked for steamed green vegetables instead of a starch and got broccoli which was steamed nice, not over cooked. What I appreciated was the lack of over buttered food. Restaurants do this to make food taste better, however, my dish wasn't at all. It was my preference to have it this way but didnt say anything. Butter was on the table with warm bread. My experience was great. The food was very good. Clean place with nice decor.pleasant. I'd come back.

I go here every time I'm anywhere near Brookings. The service and food has always been stellar. And the lounge in the back is a great place to hang out - very comfortable, with great drinks and service. The (for lack of a better word) "vibe" here is particularly comfortable; some restaurants have great food, but don't make you feel very comfortable. Here, you get distinct sense of being very much at ease, even though this is a more upscale restaurant, which is a real rarity. Everyone I've directed to this place has had great things to say about it, too. If memory serves, they serve a soup (salmon bisque?) that has gotten rave reviews.

We walked out. I guess my request for a substitution on a fried seafood platter was too much for the cook to handle. After a half hour wait and watching 3 tables of locals who were seated after us get their food orders, we were gone and won't be back. Sorry to see a place we've had such great history with going downhill like this.

Good food, great beers. Portions are huge, split it up if you aren't looking to pack a few pounds on. Nice servers, if a bit slow. Life on the coast is a bit slower I guess!
