I love this bar. there is always something going on from Karaoke to various benefits to drag shows featuring the finest legends and newcomers in Tulsa. Also, being a regular performer at the Bamboo, i have to say that the staff and management are very easy to work with. When i was doing a quarterly show there, if we needed to play with the scheduling due to other conflicts, the owner was more than happy to work with me. As a performer, as well, i have met some of the most wonderful people that I have ever met in my life there. When I walk through the door, I feel like I'm surrounded by family -- can't say that about too many bars here anymore. The drinks are awesome with cute and truly wonderful bartenders and the music is ALWAYS pumping. This place truly is Tulsa's "Cheers"!

I just had great service there yesterday there was a lot of friendly people there.and they told a lot of funny jokes.

I don't know why they call it the Bamboo Lounge since there is no Bamboo anywhere in the building. If they gave it a full makeover and a nice stage, it would be great, but right now it's boring.

MAY GOD BLESS YOU GENE! THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT MEMORIES AND FUN. I THINK OF YOU AND MISS YOU EVERY DAY! BILLY

Actually, the bar has changed a lot in the last year, it's under new management with new staff and the new staff is awesome! It's a historic place being the oldest gay bar in Oklahoma, in operation since 1959. They have monthly drag queen and drag king shows, plus a lot of social events being hosted there. There's an older crowd during the day, but the night crowd is a whole different crowd, and younger. It's going to be one of the cleanest bars you've gone to. The patio is a great place to hang out in the spring and summer!!
