Excellent Food and Excellent Service! No bias here.
A group of 20+ ate there last evening. Rented their large room for a get together. The best part of the meal was the salsa (which was very good) and chips. Unfortunately the food was bland, and in the case of enchaladas, overcooked and dry. No sembalence of tex/mex flavor. I suspect locals rate this place high on nostalic memories because the food is mediocre at best. Mexican food should have zest, and flavor (and be presented well) and sadly it was missing. I guess this is the standard Mexican food for the area but, when you have eaten at Ted's Escondito, Tio's does not have much to offer. Table service was a jumbled mish mash and disorderly. Hate to rate them this low but there is much improvement to be made here.

Love the food never had bad service my wife and I had our honeymoon evening meal there 32 years ago and have been eating there ever since
Probably the worst Mexican I've ever had. And I've had some shity Mexican food in my days.
