I have been to this fair a good number of times and it has been fantastic each time. Getting to talk to the actors and vendors is super fun! There are good number of shows with fun humor and enchanting individuals. Many of the vendors also sell excellently crafted items, but some of them are a little expansive. All in this fair is awesome!
This place is always growing and changing. Many new buildings every year. Go early to get a better parking spot. This goes for the Haunted festival as well as the Renaissance Faire.
Went for the Haunted Castle festival and had a lot of fun! Befriended some strangers and had a blast at some of their scariest attractions. Though the events weren't absolutely terrifying, they did provide a good amount of fear and a whole lot of fun. The Fright pack is definitely the way to go and everyone must try the Zombie Hunt as it was by far the most exciting.
I am a long time Reniassance Fair goer. I have attended many through out the US. This is by far the WORST and the biggest rip off. I went to their Hallow fest last fall and was told I would receive a free ticket for filling out a form..LIE..it was a buy one get one free ticket....The festival has not changed in the last several years. It is the same vendors and merchants in the same tired old building. Oh and warning dont write to them to complain. They will simply call you names, ignore you or ban you from thier grounds. Most of the locals here do not attend as evident with their at best half full parking lot.
The Renfaire was wonderful. I went a a period Dark Wizard my costume was completely authentic..... Best thing at the faire, I got a meal for 4, of CrAzY good ribs, for 20$ that overfed 5 people. Yea, look for the spare ribs... in the pirates quarter,,, Crazy good ribs.... oh, and there is a smoke shop guy there who knows his smoke..... take your hookah.
