Food was good but service REALLY BAD. Ordered tea which came quickly but never offered a refill while we were eating. After food came which took awhile we never saw waitress until she came to take our plates away and then asked if we wanted a refill on tea or dessert. Too late for refill as it would of been nice to have when mine was just about empty while I was eating. Several waitresses came pass table cleaning off other tables but not one ask if needed refill or anything. Our waitress took our plates and then left and it took awhile before she brought our check but then left and never advised that she was coming back to get payment or how we needed to pay. So instead of waiting I went to bar to pay so could leave and all the waitresses were in huddle talking. Not pleased with the service at all. May be awhile before I go back. Was not that busy so no reason for waitress not to come back to check on us after she delivered food instead of waiting to come to clear off table. Waitress lucky we left a tip.
We loved the Corned Beef Reuben Sandwich, the Cheese "Critters"...Much better than others' Cheese Stix, and the Fish Sandwich. All the freshest ingredients..and the owner is hardworking and Very Friendly. We have recommended this Pub to many of our friends!
Arrive 11:50, place is 1/4 full customers, most are eating (a good sign). Pleasant waitress, also working the bar. Order appetizer, 2 burgers ($6.99 for appetizer, $5.99 burger r#1, $6.99 burger #2). Pretty much the menu is burgers. 12:20, the house is full, yet no appetizer, reminding the waitress. 12:30, appetizer arrives. Chips and artichoke dip. - Clearly thrown together, many broken chips, some stuck together from the fryer. Dip had visible splatters in the cup (possibly microwaved). 12:38, sandwich arrives. Buns are badly burnt on insides. Very dry, I ordered medium well and I got very well done. No mayo. Complaint to passing other waitress. 12:45 new buns arrive, manager saying the appetizer is free. Now burgers semi-cold, running out of time. Noticing no one else is getting served either. There is an atmosphere amongst the professional looking customers that their small talk running out of steam, now looking at their watches frustrated. 12:50,ask for check from waitress. 1:00 with lunch break over, still no check, I do a mental math on the order, pay cash on the table. This is pretty much the most expensive burger you can buy in Marion, and the our experience was amateur hour. My wife noted three people left the kitchen in unison, not to return even after I left. It seemed the staff was hurried and stressed out. It's a new bar, and maybe we caught them on a bad day. But let's face it. How can you mess up a goddamn cheeseburger? Nope, not going back.
It was a great place everything was free. They're not open yet
