Texas Roadhouse

I went there on a Tuesday first one in door, service was great. Of course I'm bias cause I got friends that work there from way back. Just love their sweet potatoes and onion blooms. Their steaks are always good and big. Kudos to the managers.
Just was there last week with my college age grandson. It was a busy place. The service was trying hard, but the back up from the kitchen prevent them from getting us served. long wait, over 30 minutes. Come on, it was a rib order. Once served, we both agreed that the ribs were about as bad as it gets!! Sorry Texas but the facts are the facts.. Dried out as if they were cooked days ago and reheated. Sad but true.
Today my family went to Texas Roadhouse. We waited 35 minutes to get our meal. At end of the meal, it took another 15 minutes to get our credit card back. It turns out their was a glitch with the computer, but we were uncomfortable leaving the written credit card papers (with our credit card information) on a table. We got tired of waiting again and took them to the front ourselves. That was aggravating as the entire experience took us over an hour and a half but in addition, the area we were sitting in had a divider window. It was very dirty and not appetising to see while eating, but also made me wonder how clean the kitchen really was. Overall, not a favourable experience.
have eaten at roadhouses up and down east coast, food is always great. however, we ordered 2 meals for carry out. told they would be ready in 35 min. when we went to pick them up, not quite ready. waited 50 minutes, still not ready!! finally told them any steak taking an hour and a half to cook would't be fit to eat anyway, cancelled the order and left.
Not much to say about a chain restaurant. Lousy service, poorly cooked meals and overpriced. There are several other restaurants worth your time and money in Lima.
