Sean's Pub & Eatery
Reviews
Friendly, fun beer tender Chris makes you feel welcome as soon as you enter the door. Inviting atmosphere, clean, comfortable.
My wife and I were planning to see a movie at the Garrettsville theater on a weeknight, and she found Sean's Pub and Eatery online when looking for a place to stop for dinner before the movie. The restaurant/pub is in the main floor of a very handsome old building that once was some important official's home. (The dining area is not large, so if you plan to go on a weekend, you may want to call and reserve a table.) Our waiter was welcoming, funny, and very attentive. He encouraged us to sit in the little area in front of the fireplace which was perfect, as it was December and the fire was beautiful to look at as well as making for a cozy, warm spot to enjoy our dinner. We each ordered one of their specialty burgers with their home made potato chips. The burgers were the best we've had in a LONG time; very thick and juicy with lots of flavor on nice buns, and cooked just the way we wanted them. The potato chips were great while hot, but got a bid hard when they cooled down. Probably would choose the fresh-cut fries if we had it to do over. I had a dark draft beer, and my wife had the coffee; both excellent. The only reason I don't give 5 stars was the cost was $9.50 each for just the burgers/chips, which seems a bit pricey to us. With the beer, coffee and an Irish cream cake to go, plus tax & the tip, things came close to $40. (We believe in tipping waitstaff well, so your bill may come to less...) They offer quite an extensive menu; the Shepherd's pie sounded enticing, as well as several of the other dishes. Anyway, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and do plan to go back next time we see a film over that way.
A very cozy, friendly local pub with great food and good service. We were made to feel right at home.
I called a pick up order in and it was ready when I got there(early). It was awesomely priced and it was probaly the best steak I've ever had!
Best place in town to eat! Great food, great service, cool decor. Having Smithwick's on tap is hard to beat. Excellent value.
