A nice "local" bar with all sorts of interesting people coming and going. This is a good place to grab a pint (a good draft list!) and a bite, but don't expect to keep to yourself!
love it
Although we overwhelmed the small place with a party of 19, the service from the wait staff of one, was better than average. The food was outstanding, my complements would only be an understated insult. Good food service, good food, friendly environment. Need I say more ?
New to the area and decided to go out exploring. Found this place and were drawn in by the name. Got the fish & chips and I felt it rivaled anything I have ever gotten from most restaurants in New England. Huge portions, and the price was extremely reasonable. The fries, coslaw, and even the pickle on the side were amazing as well. The atmosphere was very quiet for a bar, and the whole place was cleaner than most bars/pubs I have ever gone to. Would definitely go back for seconds!
stopped in a while back for drinks; stopped in last night for dinner. nice menu--everything from pub food to a few german specials. many options jumped out at me but i wanted to give the half-pound cheeseburger a try. nice kaiser roll and very tasty, juicy burger--YUM! i had a side order of the black-and-tan beer battered onion rings. they were a bit greasy but they are not be missed. my charming dining companion had a special--the turkey reubenesque. grilled sandwich with a huge amount of turkey, coleslaw, russian dressing, swiss cheese. omg good. the accompanying german potato salad was also quite nice. service is friendly and efficient and this place is step above standard pub fare. we will be back!
