The Paddocks of Saratoga

Worst place I've ever lived. The apartment was filthy when I moved in and several things were broken including shower head, closet door, laundry room door, and light bulbs. The internet service that comes free with the rent never works and has been a headache since day one. The pictures on the website look nothing like the real apartment (specifically no stainless steel appliances). The appliances that are installed are outdated. The bedroom is freezing in the winter because of poor construction.
I truly dislike living here due to the inconsiderate and rude office staff. I have had several complaints which were met with snippy remarks and have not been resolved. It also seems as though the construction of the newer units was rushed and done poorly. None of my outlet covers are flush to the walls, doors do not close all the way, and the air conditioning vents are in odd locations. I have very loud neighbors who often have young visitors that run around and jump all day. Due to the thin floorboards, it sounds as though they are going to come through the ceiling at any moment. I chose this apartment complex due to its awesome location and beautiful amenities – I am thoroughly disappointed with the experience. If the office staff was nice/accommodating, the construction was of higher quality, and the neighbors were kind – this would be a perfect place to live.
We loved living at the Paddocks -- especially the pool and the fitness center. The staff is lovely too.
The price IS very high for what you get. We were told we would save so much money in energy, but that wasn't the case. We pretty much kept the thermostat on 65 throughout the winter, and still paid high energy bills. Plus the bedrooms are definitely very cold. I do not think there is adequate insulation. The other problem is noise. We live on the first floor, and we could hear footsteps, conversations, doors slam, the whole nine yards. We did not save any money by living here at all, and probably could have gotten something more economical.
