J&J's Gourmet
Reviews
Friggin AWESOME! I was skeptical walking in. It looks like a Bardie paradise, but the food is actually quite good. Their Thai Shrimp Salad is out of this world! I cannot wait to try something else. This place just jumped above Rusty's for local food in my books.
The food is good, but the service is severely lacking. The server who took my order made an error and didn't capture all the items. Mistakes happen, no problem except for the way it was handled. Instead of a simple apology and correcting the order the server lashed out at me saying, "Well I read the order back to you." Attention J&J owners: make sure your staff know you are in a SERVICE business and try to treat your customers in a civil manner.
My husband liked his reuben sandwich well enough, but I made the mistake of getting "ahi tuna" on my salad. Never have I seen or tasted ahi like this. It was looked and tasted like some sort of grey particle board/spam product with a frozen red center. Pretty unspeakably foul. I thought the price on the ahi seemed surprisingly reasonable and I guess that was why.
innovative sandwiches and soups, they have very good prepared foods as well - but they have the best brownies and chocolate chip cookies!
Every town should have J&J gourmet. Fresh local ingredients creates the perfect bite when Jen is the Chef
