Good place in Plattsburgh to meet up with some friends, or an old professor. Great array of coffees and overall a nice venue

Great coffee, great music!

I like the atmosphere for the most part, though sometimes the music is too loud. The staff are friendly, especially Jay. Personally I don't like their coffee, it's too bitter for my taste, but I do like their tea and pastries. Sometimes I wish they had some snacks other than pastries, but that's okay. They have slightly high prices but nothing outrageous, and they have a loyalty reward card where you get a free drink after buying ten. There's free wifi. They display local artwork, though as an artist I don't like that you have to pay just to display your stuff. They also have concerts and shows regularly. I like that they allow well-behaved dogs. There's a down-to-earth community feel to the place, and it's a genuine "local small business" which I always try to support. Summary: I'd like it better if the coffee were fresher-tasting and the music softer, but it's a nice place to hang out once in a while.

I visited Koffee Kat while I was in Plattsburgh in May 2012. I found it to be a great place. I was pleased with every aspect of the business. I love the online virtual tour, it's the little "See Inside" image you can click on to the right of the reviews (or below the reviews if you're using your smartphone). I see a couple of negative reviews, but I think they are not real customers - probably local competitors. Koffee Kat is a good place and I recommend it. ~Jim

My roommates and I fell in love with this place once we had our milkshakes. We make sure to stop there every time we venture in the emptiness called downtown Plattsburgh.
