I love Carmella's. The atmosphere is friendly and casual, the good is excellent, prices are great. Kids eat free on sundays. Homemade pastas, and great soups! I would recommend Carmella's to my friends and family.
Used to be great in 2002. Since then the portions got smaller and the price went up. Save yourself some money and make your pasta at home. You wont have leftovers if you eat here. Also this was the only place to make my long island ice tea with actual ice tea! It was awful. The 1/2 price appetizers after 9 are the only thing worth going for.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!! My husband & I ate dinner at Carmella's Cafe. We ordered chicken wings to share for appetizer and we each had chicken riggies. The wings are edible. The chicken riggies were not that bad until after some few bites, I found an extra ingredient on my riggies, a short white/blondish HAIR in my riggies!!! That is so DISGUSTING! My husband also lost his appetite after seeing that gross hair on my riggies. We will never come back here again. I can't believe this place has been opened for 25 years for serving gross food with bad service. I guess some people just don't have a taste when they raved about this place. If I can only rate less than 1 star, I would rate it NEGATIVE FIVE STAR!!!
It was about 4 years since the last time my family and I ate at Carmellas and we will not be going back any time soon if ever. It was a busy Saturday evening so we expect to wait, but we sat down for about 10 minutes before anyone even approached us. The manager walked by our table at least 5 times and 4 of the times our menus were at the edge of the table. The waitress finally comes over and apoligizes and stated that there was some confusions as to who would be waiting on us. The waitress was terrible and I ordered the Prime Rib. It was the worst Prime Rib I have ever had. It was grilled and dried out, and the Auju sauce was terrible. I do not recommend waisting your time with this restaurant.
