Great food nice place
I came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. It was my first time to Gardiner as I am not from New York and I had to go to the post office. I didn't know what this place would offer for food as I was hungry and would settle for anything. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the market portion of the store had many things I buy on a regular basis but also they have a extensive menu. I had a Mexican omelet or something to that effect. It was very enjoyable. If I am ever in this part of New York again I will be stopping by again. This is not a restaurant, you order and pay at the counter and they bring it to you. You don't have to worry about tip or someone needing to give you a refill. Too bad that the other review of this place was not so positive. Hope this helps others looking for something different.

While I am not from Gardiner, I had heard about this place through a friend so I decided to check it out. Unfortunately, it was not worth the trip. The counter attendant (I assume an owner) was rude to her help and on the phone while I was ordering. While the market may have small-town flavor, that does not excuse the way I was treated. I also noticed that for the most part, gloves were not being worn and I didn't get the impression that they were overly concerned with cleanliness. That aside, I expected better service than what I was given. I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.
