My fiance and I just moved into the area, we went to eat at the Chili hills in Edgewood N.M. 1/13/15 at 4:45 pm! We had heard a lot of mixed reviews for this place so we decide to try for ourselves. The restaurant its self was clean and had a very nice atmosphere. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. BUT then came the food we ordered I had Liver and onions it was way over cooked and tough! The mashed potatoes were old but covered up with fresh gravy. The vegetable of the day was corn but it appeared liked it was from a couple of days ago it was dry and very withered! My side salad was brown and withered. But the sweet tea was good!! (Will not eat there again)
I finally ate here after months of my fiance telling me how it was the best food she's ever eaten. Now after going here, I'm questioning her taste buds. I'm pretty sure I ordered enchiladas, which I didn't finish. The rice that came with was very dry and I couldn't swallow the beans. Everyone I've met tells me to try the green and red chili so I ordered both to sample. I wasn't a fan of either. Perhaps I need to try this place again and figure out why everyone is raving over it.
Every time I go to get a green chilli burrito, the staff is always friendly & the food is always really great tasting & cooked right. Wish I was rich to eat there every day for every meal.
Ate at both locations Edgewood and .Moriarty. In 2012 it was OK food for an OK price. Now the beer battered fish And Thursday BBQ are the only edible foods. Cornbread is more like cake. Mashed potatoes are glue without butter cream or flavor. I always thought no one could ruin chicken-fried-steak... they proved me wrong.
I was driving cross country and I needed a good place to eat. I pulled over and didn't think much of the place. Once I entered I was amazed at what a great eatery. The new mexican stlye setup was wonderful. The food was served fast, which I needed since I was pressed for time, and I had one of the best biscuits and gravy breakfast in awhile. Great place, I live 2 states away but ill come back if I get the chance
