Cambridge Inn and Camelot Caterers
Reviews
Waitresses are airheads, beer is great, salad bar is lame. Lets see how the main course is. The place used to be better.
The Cambridge Inn has a great atmosphere, the food is priced reasonably and the portions are great! Its my favorite place in the area!
Always go on an empty stomach.
I actually stumbled on this restaurant by accident. I use to be part of the Red Hat Society and it is basically a great bunch of gals 50 years older and up, a lot of our beautifully vintage ladies. With that being said, of course they are on a fixed income. Let me tell you it was a huge hit. The wait staff was friendly and the owner very willing to work with you. They have an incredible salad bar and Sunday brunch. We had the champagne brunch and the choices was either champagne, a mimosa or a bloody Mary. I was so impressed that I brought my husband to their Valentine's dinner. I believe you have a choice of the buffet or the pre-fix sit down dinner. If you are one for glitz and glamour or a bridezilla, this is not the place for you. If you are middle class or looking to save money for the most part quality food this is the place for you. Their catering room is a nice size. It's well kept with a touch of class. Like any other catering event it still holds true with how many guests you guarantee but it is quite reasonable. The owner really makes monetary concessions with you depending on availability, day of the week etc. I wanted to have my husband's 40th birthday party their so bad but at the time it wasn't financially feasible so it wasn't a personal thing. I am hoping to have a year belated one for my husband. I have never come across a tortured wait staff. They have a nice bar and on the weekends they have bands etc. It's a perfect place for happy hour, bridal showers, engagement parties etc. If you are looking for closed doors privacy, with the exception of the catering room, it depends what you are willing to do. They use very well tasted partitions that give you a good deal of privacy. Honestly it is not tacky at least to this humble lady writing right now. Give it a try. Start off with the Sunday brunch. I believe you will really like it.
We went there after a funeral and hoped to cheer up it was morose and the service was abominable the bartender couldn't even find the drinks we requested and the waitress didn't help
