Just devoured the leftovers from last night. I am not kidding.... where can you get food in these parts worthy of this???? I frequently go to NYC because our kiddo lives there, and the food is spot on. Didn't know that I could stay home and eat and dine close to home, with a cook that deserves 10 stars, and a staff that also deserves 10 stars. Hope you can find the time to enjoy the most brilliant food I have eaten in my lifetime.... every bite was mind blowing. And if you can get there while the pumpkin bread pudding with homemade pumpkin gelato is on the menu...... lucky you.

Unfortunately this used to be my favorite restaurant of all time. The past few times have been a bit disappointing and the other night was pretty much the final straw. I think they certainly provide amazing food and for the area I would say it's the best. But they have gotten so busy that they are losing appeal. I made a reservation and brought my sister and her husband along, I had been so excited to have them experience it. Unfortunately, our food took a long time to get to the table (which can happen) but it's the way its dealt with that can make a difference. The waitress was to busy to worry about it. When the food finally came some of the food was not really hot but we dealt with it knowing they were really busy. HOWEVER, when we finished our main course the bill was quickly thrown on our table saying that it was 7:05 and the 7:00 reservation was already waiting ..... really ??? They said we could not order coffee or dessert. That totally does not fly and was out right rude. I was embarrassed that I had told my sister and her husband how good it was. I actually still can't believe it. Not sure I will go back. Last time we had made a reservation that they somehow didn't have when we got there and they told us they could not seat us until 9:00. They didn't even attempt to see if there was something they could do to fit us in. They told us we were welcome to go to the sister restaurant next door. Very sad.

The Pearl is superb restaurant in an unlikely location. They are located at the end of a low rent strip mall but don't let that put you off, its an excellent restaurant with an innovative menu. We come to Peterborough every summer and we've eaten there several times, it's never disappointed us.

Best place in Peterborough! Excellent food,drinks and service/ambiance.
