The Wild Rover Pub & Restuarant

Very happy! The food was excellent and so was the service. The fried mozzarella ravioli is to die for! will definitely come back when I'm in Manchester again.
New owner is killing this place. Feel bad for all the loyal employees, esp the females I'm sure he assaults. Received the wrong beer. Told the waitress. She said it should be what I ordered. 15 mins later she gave me a sample of what I ordered. Completely diff smell and color of what I had. She said, "huh. Weird. You got a mystery beer." And did nothing about it
The waitress was lovely. The atmosphere comfortable. The food....eh. The salad was old and had moldy tomatoes. Fish and chips was great, good Sheppard pie. The waitress gave us free dessert for the salad mishap but it tasted like it sat in the fridge next to onions for a couple days. Bottom line....there are so many restaurants around and if you are given the opportunity to serve people, do your best. There are so many self proclaimed foodies out there, shine a little.
What a great Irish Pub...the food was excellent (shepherd's pie I highly recommend), the wait staff was very friendly and efficient, it is quaint and cute, nothing touristy or trendy, just what one would picture a pub in Ireland to be like. Next time I am back in Manchester I will be going again. Great job to the owner and the staff.
One of the best Irish Pubs I have been to. No matter when I go the place is packed as thick as the brogue spoken. Not one of those cheesy Irish pubs that plays techno. ALL the food has been excellent... always. I even tried the duck for the first time ever and it was AMAZING. Favorite ale in season is Smashed Pumpkin with the glass rimmed with cinnamon and sugar.
