Reviews
I want to approach this review in three sections so as to give an in-depth review. I worked in the area for approximately three months. During that time my coworker, demented employer and myself frequented their location regularly for breakfast. So I can assure you that I have eaten there more so than I have dined in any other restaurant. ATMOSPHERE: The decor is original, and elegant without too much frill. The atmosphere is able to elude to class and quality without over doing it. They have wisely intertwined the local history into its theme which provides you with a sense of local pride and community. You instantly feel at ease and disarmed, a pleasant way to start your day. SERVICE: It is in this venue that Tea Birds really out-does itself. Our coffee cups were kept full and the waitress was very quick to notice when sugar and or cream became low. The employees were friendly and sociable, yet never overbearing. They were quick to familiarize themselves with my meals and preferences and were just as quick to make a customer feel at home. The morning crew made me feel like I belonged there and it is not often that you can truly say that. I always felt like they were glad that I had eaten there, always. FOOD: Their morning cook, for that is when I dined there, was amazing. Not only could she cook a mean omelet but she could crack a hearty joke. The toast, which was comprised of from-scratch breads as well as unique original recipes, was never soggy or burned. The pancakes were never chewy or pasty. Most important of all: I never left hungry and I almost always had a doggy bag when I left...all for $10!!! And a special thank you to the most memorable employee there: Pat. She could always get a smile out of me.
Food is great! They serve a lot of different, high end foods compared to the other restaurants in the area. A lot of vegetarian options too, which is wonderful. Love the atmosphere! Just be aware, it's a long wait so don't go if you are in a hurry!
