While this is the best location in Bismarck, with the roomiest and most comfortable store, I have repeatedly found the service horrendous. The staff on shift on Friday evenings when my friend and I go there after work clearly find the presence of customers annoying. They order pizzas, can be rude and brusque at the counter, and loudly kid around and talk behind the counter, sometimes letting their school friends back there. During one visit, when my friend and I had both had sandwiches and drinks and decided to have dessert around 8 pm, we went up to the young man who had just pulled all of the pastries out of the case two hours before closing, and asked for a pastry. The plastic storage cases he'd put them in were sitting right in front of us, on the counter. His response? "Yeahhh....no." I asked if he was out of the pastry, though I could see it right there. "Yeah, pretty sure we're out." So we left, went to a different location, they hadn't touched their case, and were super friendly. It never fails that they mop the floor long before closing. Having worked in a similar establishment, I can understand how long it takes to close. It certainly doesn't take four hours to close, though, and mopping so closely around customers that you have to ask them to lift their feet is a no-no. They have actually mopped over our feet before, pulled and pushed chairs around right up tight against us, and, the last straw, seemed to be purposefully mopping right where we were and dragging wooden chairs across the floor so loudly I had to lean in and yell to talk to my friend sitting right across the small table. We had just arrived, bought drinks and snacks, and sat down barely 15 minutes earlier, and were still eating. We finally gave up, hurriedly finished our food and took our nearly full drinks as we put on our coats walking towards the door. The employee who was making the racket, and is the most consistently rude, sarcastically hollered "thanks for stopping in" and I felt like walking back and telling him a thing or two. He knew what he was doing. My friend and I have gone here every Friday for nearly two years, and put up with the worst staff in the history of the world, but that last mopping incident is the last straw. We will never go there again. The other two Starbucks locations have excellent staff, and the one on 3rd street even knows our names and are super friendly, though we've been there far less than this location. I have no idea who the manager is, but he or she need to clean house when it comes to their staff. I DO NOT recommend this location on a Friday night. Horrible. Not once can I remember when the staff didn't do something incredibly rude. I don't like leaving bad reviews and am pretty patient with servers, but this place is unbelievable. I can't believe we've gone there regularly for over two years and put up with it every. single. time. UPDATE: 2-22-2013 While waiting to run an errand in the vicinity, we stopped in out of habit, I guess, and because we had time to kill. While sitting there, the manager on duty came over and said they realized we were the customers associated with this review, apologized, and gave us two free drink coupons. It was a very tough thing to do, and I appreciate the effort and courage to address the issue. Though we will continue to go to a different location, it was a kind gesture.

Purchased 2 strawberry shakes for my children and an iced mocha for myself. The total came out to around $13 BUT I was charged nearly $23 for 3 drinks!!! All I had on me was $100 bill and the cashier asked if I had a card I could use, so I tried to use my debit card. Well I only had about $10 in the account associated with the card so the gut asked me for the left over to cover the bill... All I had was the $100 bill so he "canceled" the card transaction (or so I thought) and I paid with the $100. He gave me 80 something in 10's, 5's and 1s. Anyways, he never canceled the transaction with my card so I paid $23 for 3 drinks -_-

This location is the best in the Bismarck area. It has the most seating and good service.

I can't believe I paid almost $5 for a medium latte. Rip off.
