Great little sandwich shop. A little out of the way but well worth the trip. Fresh food and an awesome atmosphere make it one of the best places to eat in town.
Good strong coffee, plenty of cozy seating, and they are very hospitable! I placed a lunch order of deli sandwiches and I can't wait to enjoy those too!
I used to work at country house deli many years ago, and one of the best perks of the job was a free sandwich. The Texas and the Mexican are my favorites, and the meatball is really good too. The cheesecake is awesome. It hasn't been quite the same since Mary Ellen passed away though, the service seems slower and less knowledgeable about their menu. Still really good sandwiches and cheesecake though.

So tried the famous Country House Deli once again after nearly 10 years of abstinence due to a horrible experience. Once again I was dissapointed. "THE BISMARCK" costs $9 and weighed about 3 oz, it tasted OK, but the combo of high price poor service and P stains on the ceiling (which I remember from 10 years ago) were enough to keep me away another 10 years. I just don't get you North Dakotan's and your fascination with terrible food and dirty cafe type atmospheres???
