Excellent service but absolutely flavorless dishes. My wife got seafood pasta in a "white win sauce" that literally tasted like un-seasoned boiled noodles and shrimp.....no flavor at all. I got the grilled mahi mahi which was extremely dry and also had no flavor to it. Great view, great server but the food is awful.....everybody around us look pretty displeased as well. Extremely surprised they are able to stay open.
Lived on the island for 4 years and went to Daddy Mac's for the first time this past Friday. Can't believe we've missed it for so long. The food was outstanding and the service was spot on. Fried calamari to start - most tender and delicious we've had in the area. Then the main courses consisted of crab cakes, seared ahi-tuna and chicken alfredo. Each dish was perfectly prepared and delicious. Daddy Mac's is now my favorite restaurant in the area....we will be back many times.
I eat here every time I come to Holly Ridge..I am a truck driver and we deliver Italian ice to a customer across the street...This place was recommended and I have eaten only here since then which was back in 2012...The staff and owners have the concept of good food and environment for enjoying the ocean experience down to the letter.
My best friend and I had the perfect night out. She had the broiled flounder, and i had the special (pan seared pacific tuna steak served over a crab cake). Best crab cake I've ever had. And I'm from North East Florida. The staff was exceptionally helpful. The view from our waterfront porch table was perfect. We finished off the evening with a generous godiva chocolate cake while watching the sunset. It was a tad pricy, but for a once in a while perfect evening it was well worth the investment. The wait was 25 min, but while we waited we walked on the beach searching for sharks teeth. I gave the hostess my name and number, and later received a text message letting us know our table was ready. Ill be making that a monthly habit.
I've been here 3 times. Had great food and great service each time. The fried shrimp platter is the the lightest battered shrimp and perfectly cooked. Huge portion. Everything I've had here tastes very fresh.
