Been coming here for 5 years - must have been a change in management because it's not the same place any more. Waited over an hour after ordering, then was handed a dinner knife to open oysters with. Asked for the correct tool but they didn't have any. Shame - used to love coming here.
The menu was gutted from last year. Steamer pot and clam chowder were no longer available. My and my friends fish were dripping in oil. Couldn't get a fork. Was offered a salad instead with only malt vinegar and no oil as dressing. At least they didn't screw up the beer. (with little variety) We have been loyal patrons for many years and am sorry to say we won't be back.
Place was great. Very friendly staff. They also hung my daughter's "drawings" in their wall. The price for a burger $8.50 worth every penny
Just visited Buddy's and I must say I understand why the waitress was complaining about it being so slow to a bar patron. You would think we would get great service being the only customers in there to eat. Instead we got to hear her complain to the cook about not letting her know the food had been up and having to ask for a refill.. Food was not what I would expect for the price. Tasted like old fries reheated in the fryer. The flounder and shrimp was average at best. None of us felt good about the experience. I guess they can keep wondering why it is so slow. We will not be back.
Try the corn nuggets. Eat out on the covered deck. Very reasonable prices and very cool beach atmosphere. One of the few places with ocean view that's not super expensive
