Thai Peppers
Reviews
This place knows Thai food and I think their sushi is the best in town!! EVERYTHING is super fresh and delicious, i've never been disappointed with anything I have ordered. The interior is a little outdated, but the food flavors make up for that. The pad thai and their curries are wonderful and if you're in the mood for sushi I would personally recommend the tuna tataki, Sea of Love Roll, and the Southport Roll. ABSOLUTELY DEVINE. Places like this make me love being a foodie. Give it a try, I promise it doesn't disappoint!
Likely the best Thai food in the area. The curry is amazing to the extent that I start having withdrawal symptoms when I've gone too long without it. The sushi and pad thai is also very excellent. This is my go-to place for a great meal. My only complaint is that on some days I think the service could seem friendlier.
Disappointed. Ordered 2 chilli hot dish received bland dish. Service was substandard.
We were excited to see local Thai option for dinner. Had take out. Abrupt & unfriendly by phone. Ingredients seemed fresh but food was nothing special. The noodle dish i ordered didn't include seafood in the description, but it was floating in a sauce that smelled & tasted fishy. My husbands dish #29 was dry and bland. May as well ordered cheap Chinese food.
I am a lover of authentic Thai cuisine and was very excited to see positive reviews of this restaurant when I recently relocated to the area. Unfortunately, my fellow Googlers got this one all wrong. This was without a doubt the worst dining experience I've had in years, possibly ever. From the moment we walked into this restaurant we knew something was off. The staff treated us as if we had ruined their lives by enslaving them to greet and serve us, and the decor was old, dirty, dark and frankly a bit of a freak show. We kept a positive attitude and hoped beyond hope the food would make up for the intro... but not even close. My dish, the Massaman curry, was drowning in oil and lacking in flavor and substance. It also arrived a good 10 minutes before my wife's dish so it was cold and sticky by the time I started eating. My wife enjoyed her sushi plate, I'll give them that, but was so put off and insulted by the lack of service and lack of care for anything at all (not to mention how long she had to wait for it), that she couldn't even enjoy what she felt was probably decent sushi. I'm not sure what restaurant my fellow reviewers went to, but I'm so sorry I wasted my time and money at Thai Peppers and would advise folks to try ANY other restaurant in the Southport area before this one!
