Avoid at all costs. Crowded. Drive thru instructed me to back my horse trailer out because they thought I would hit their awning, obviously knows nothing about turning around a trailer but luckily I'm good with mine. Wasn't happy about having to take my horse back over speed bumps. The skinny hippy kid making the drinks was nice though, he gets the one star for this place.
Wow. Not happy at all. We've been to this location several times. It's never stellar, but has been much better. The employees' attitudes plumbs new depths of apathy, disinterest and people skills. Inventory of sandwiches after our long drive from Florence, SC was nonexistent. We finally settled for a $1 banana and cup of yogurt. The topper? The Men's Room smelled of urine like we've never whiffed it before. It was like someone cleaned the floor with pee and then put a heat lamp on it for a few days. Several hours later as we're checking into our hotel room 150 miles up the road, the distinct smell of Starbuck's Roanoke Rapids yellow gold still lingers in our nostrils (and possibly on our shoes). Afraid to check...
AWFULL, after driving north for 2 hours craving for a grear Starbucks cup of Coffee, I have to wait 40 minutes to get a Mocha Frappuchino that was so ACID I coudnt drink it. I ask them to change it for a new one, but it test the same. Is a pitty that this location damage the brand in this way. I feel bad for the employees, they were overwelmed, but that not an excuse to do their work so bad. I coudnt believe that this is an actual Starbucks, it was so dirty and anorganized, Shame of the manager for ruining my coffe. Drive 60 miles north for the next Starbucks, GREAT coffe, no waiting and clean bathrooms
My husband and I have been to various Starbucks many times, with varying results. We did have three experiences, however, that were unacceptable. Last summer we visited one in Mount Pleasant, SC that was so cold, condensation was all over the window. I saw a thermostat, & it was set in the sixties. It was so uncomfortable, we couldn't stay after picking up our food.Maybe Starbucks wouldn't have to raise prices as much if employees didn't waste so much money on air conditioning. Another time, the worker who took my order gave me the impression that there were no mochas or decafs or any kind of interesting drinks, & the hot coffee she gave me was terrible. It was awhile before I wanted to try a Starbucks again. Lastly, when my husband looked in the food case to order something, there was a fly in it, and no effort was being made to get it out. I've also had some pretty good experiences at Starbucks, but I feel there is plenty of room for improvement.
I read the reviews on Yelp. Said it was bad....I thought, can't be that bad. It's that bad. Not enough staff for the volume. Dirty. I have pictures. Slow. Men's room out of order. 2 stalls in ladies room- men jumping in line, thought I was at a concert. Not a single smile or happy face. Yuck yuck yuck! I used to travel to Richmond frequently and have stopped here before and it was fine. Stay away......Starbucks you need to fix- this store is a blemish to you reputation. .
