First the bar is very small can't fit that many people in there on a Friday or Saturday night, it was very crowded and we sat shoulder to shoulder with young teenagers that didn't look old enough to be there . The service was Very poor, they took forever to change coals and only did it frequently for people they knew. They played very loud hip hop music, couldn't hear the person sitting next to me. Very young high school or even younger crowd hang out there all night, I did not see them check anyone's ID. I didn't think they served alcohol but there were "kids" that look to be younger than 16 with cases of beer the night I went. Definitely will not recommend this place to anyone!

First, the guy working there at the time was excellent!! My wife and I went there around 2pm on a sunday and we were the only ones that were there. We ordered some coffee, tea, and hookah. Drinks were good, but my review is more about the hookah. I'm hard to please with hookah because I've looked into what's good and what isn't, that being said, the over all quality was good. I feel kinda bad for this place as everything has burn marks and some of the furniture is a little damaged. I can tell it's from the vast amount of college students from across the street being crazy. Nonetheless, the seating was comfortable! The reason I didn't give it the last star is that the downstem on the hookah pipe seemed to have some rust on it. This didn't seem to be from lack of cleaning, but rather the quality of the hookah itself. I couldn't tell what the brand was but it seemed to be an off brand of some sort, but I can say that if they had some Khalil mamoon hookahs, this wouldn't be an issue. The big thing about that is I felt a little sick after smoking and did not smoke on an empty stomach, i didn't smoke too fast cause i've done that before...it's likely the rust. I'm not a big fan of the generic bowls used either since the flavoring leaks down the stem and it leaves the session a lot less flavorful, and since it was a chiller hookah...although smooth, also decreases flavor. So to the this place, i would suggest getting phunnel or crown bowls(tangiers or hookahjohn). The thing I really like is that they use coco nara natural coals which makes for a much cleaner taste, i still have no idea why anyone uses the garbage quick-light coals that give you a coal taste in your smoke and are full of chemicals. Anyways, the session overall was smooth and pleasant. Not much to truly complain about other than the sick feeling. Hopefully the staff can see this and maybe look into some sturdier pipes and better bowls but the best part about it was the extremely friendly staff and the fantastic customer service! The best hookah bar ever, the best customer service. Moemoe is the best guy ever to serve a high quality hookah with the best flavors. The music played r good (hip hop - dumpstep - meddel eastern) and the good thing is that u can request any songs u ask for, and more and more in Nara hookah bar i really love this place

I visited Nara Lounge for the very first time on the evening of October 3, 2013. A very comforting environment. Actually, i thought it was a coffee shop until i entered and realized it was also a Hookah Cafe. The management was sitting outside....who came in to take my order. Yes, i was with my longtime partner....happily married since August 26, 2013. My husband ordered a caramel macchiato and i ordered a white chocolate mocha. Very, very delicious! We enjoyed our drinks outside on the sidewalk(i guess you could call this the patio). Plenty of space to sit. We also enjoyed the view of all the hustle and bustle on Hillsborough st. We had great conversations as we sipped on our coffee. After maybe an hour, the manager asked us to move to a different table(closer to the street) because he wanted to give our seats to other guest. We were sitting in an area that could hold approximately 8 people but the area was private and we were comfortable. As some people would call it, we were "chillin". Yes, i agree, the area was too big for only two people but we paid for our coffees and did not want to be disturbed. Anyway, when he asked us to move(which i totally disliked), i did not start a big scene. I did say...."Sure, we are getting ready to leave anyway." So, we took a few more sips of our coffee and left. I will say again, i did enjoy Nara Lounge's atmosphere but i do not agree with anyone asking me or anyone to move to a different table to accommodate other guests. Since i have let out my frustrations and concerns(rant and raving), i think i will return with my husband.

Best place ever for hookah. Me and my friends always go during night time. The people are nice and very friendly as well. The food is always fresh and the drinks are awesome. When i smoke the hookah its really smooth and does not hurt your throat at all.
