Great time at Haps.

Yes, there is a laundromat right next door. Clean your clothes and get your buzz on while you wait.

The best bar in Helena. The best people you will ever find. Great atmosphere!

The times i have gone in there, there was always people there having a blast. Of course it was a Friday night so importantly i would say, the place was great i sure will keep coming back.

I bartended here for a while in what I remember to be 1978 - I was also driving a forklift at Western Foods Warehouse and living out in York. At the time there were maybe 110 different whiskeys, a few other liquor-like things and a couple of beer handles - Ranier and something else. Working here I learned the difference between a VO & water and a VO ditch really fast, and it's the first place I ever cracked a raw egg into a fella's beer. Right across the avenue from the NP yard - building dated from the 1860s; had a couple big eye bolts connected by a big turnbuckle holding the walls somewhat vertical. Always wild times when the sheep herders would come in from White Sulphur - they didn't get into town very often. We'd go out to the Limestones to plug coyotes when there was a $50 bounty on them with the pelts, we'd take them over to the County to collect, get something to eat at Little Big Men & then go to Hap's to rehydrate. Hey, sure beat going to the Red Meadow! Is the Diggins, or that crazy quonset hut Silver Spur dance hall still around? I kind of doubt it.
