Old Chicago

Old Chicago was much better before all the changes. My boyfriend, his dad, and I would go to Old Chicago for dinner a lot, but after going tonight, probably not again or anytime soon. First my boyfriend and his dad like their boneless buffalo chicken wings, which they order frequently. Tonight when they ordered that, the waitress said that they don't have boneless chicken wings. Um yeah, hello, they used to order them all the time. Why the change? So she says that they can get chicken tenders and they can put buffalo on them. So they order them, and when they came to the table disappointment set in. I didn't eat them myself but they described them as fatty, left over pieces of chicken, and that the sauce tasted different. When they told this to the waitress she said that the breading had changed, that they bread them by hand now, so it's like home made. Really, doesn't matter if it doesn't taste good. Also the appetizer plates they gave us still had pieces of food on them. Two out of three plates anyways. Then we get our food. Now I knew when I looked at the menu and ordered it that their club sandwich had changed, but I thought I would at least be getting a decent sandwich, right? Well I will admit, it was okay, nothing special. But the turkey they used seemed like the kind that you can buy in a grocery store next to the kids lunchables. Also the fries it came with the menu said that they came with onion stings, the fries I received had none. Then my boyfriend's dad got his calzone, which looked really doughy and under cooked. It had no sauce inside it whatsoever. Lucky for him the store manager was making rounds to all the tables that night, and she personally took it back and recooked it. When they told her about the chicken, she gave them the same answer about the breading though. Which really isn't the issue at all. Still the calzone came back after a long period of time, during which he had asked for the check 3 times before getting it, and it took even longer to get his credit card back. Really annoying when the you see the same waitress at another table taking a drink order, and your still waiting for your credit card. But at least my boyfriend still got the pizza that he liked, which remained unchanged. But still there are a lot of changes at Old Chicago, and probably won't go back because of them.

The Chicago seven is awesome!

Clean restaurant with delicious food. Get the Thai Pie if you want something good. Service was awesome and they have 110 beers. Atmosphere is that of TGI Fridays or Applebee's. Seating is not the most comfortable but ok.

Love this place. There is a lot of energy and happy people, including the servers. The food and beer was excellent. Don't miss out.

Great selection of beer and food. 110 beers.
