Worth it? I'm just not sure that the 1 hour wait was worth the overall mediocre quality of the food. The rolls were great! The rolls being tossed was fun, when ever the roll guy came around every 15 minutes or so. The ham steak was okay, nothing special, the turnip greens tasted like it came from a can and was too salty. The pass around sides...when something is unlimited and you pass on seconds, what does that mean? The pass around sides were mediocre at best. Overall I would not go back nor will I recommend this place.
This is a family place, with great food and great servers. Our server, can't remember her name but has worked there for 13 years from Wisconsin was spot on, she made the experience that much better for our party of 9. Pass arounds, fresh rolls being tossed into a patrons hand was a sight to see. I ordered a KC strip steak, cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. Once almost finished our server offered to bring a second one at no additional price. Better bring an appetite they give you your own cooking pan as a plate, everything is down home 5 star to a tea.
love this place a lil pricey and usually have to wait a loooooong time but honest to God it is well worth it ! best restaurant I've ever ate at! WATCH OUT FOR THE ROLLS THOUGH LOL MY MOMMY DEAREST ACCIDENTLY GOT SMACKED right in the kisser with one ...poor mom but her meal ended up being free smack me smack me...I love free food lol no
I have seen the signs for over 30 years but have never been able to make it here. The food was fabulous there was so much I think I have enough food for 2 more meals. Was surprised that the place was so busy at 2pm on Friday. The rolls and fried potatoes was so delicious I could have had a whole meal with just them. Will now make an effort to return every time I pass through.
We have gone to Lamberts for years since my daughter moved to Ozark which is 600 miles away. This trip the food was not as good as it usually was. Steaks were tough, and half the rack of ribs were unedible. If not for the pass arounds the meal would have been very disappointing. Not sure what is going on with the main course but we were disappointed at the quality of our food.
