Corner Cafe
Reviews

I have eaten at 3 locations of The Corner for years. The homestyle food is always great. The rolls are homemade, big, and "yeast-y". The only thing I would change is that I would add a bar. There are no cocktails, wine, or even beer. But for what it is, it's great!

I read some of the reviews on here, and have to say I'm shocked. I have only ever had good experiences when I've eaten there. The prices aren't bad at all. I went yesterday with 2 friends, we got 3 meals, drinks, an add-on side dish, plus 2 cinnamon rolls to bring home for breakfast the next day. (yum!) Our ticket was only $45. The portions were large enough that 2 of us brought home enough leftovers to feed us for a second meal. Our server was very friendly and bubbly, without being "in your face." There does seem to be a wait time on weekends and evenings, but that's because the place is pretty awesome and people want to eat there. If that's an issue for some, maybe cook dinner at home on Friday night, and try Corner Cafe for lunch, instead. ;-)

Staff was rude and ignorant. There was no management present. Never brought the menu, one waiter refused us service, and we were never served at all. And this was all on mother's day. I would never eat here and if you value service, I suggest you steer clear

Good food

Greasy spoon quality with fast food attentiveness at prices that are higher than either. If you view the menu online, be sure to check with a member of the staff before committing to dining so you can see if the food is available, as there is often unannounced, unmarked shortages and they are unwilling to make food fresh. If you are on a budget, be very careful to read the several pricing items in fine print - not that a place with these prices is recommended for those on a budget. Food will be overcooked or undercooked, sometimes both in the same item. Surly, uneducated wait staff and terrible hosts. Seriously, you are two exits from a Cracker Barrel, no need to stop here.
