Blooming Grounds Coffee House

Just phenomenal on all accounts. Wonderful atmosphere, large and accommodating interior, quaint decor. And the food: muah! I had the "Super Duper" panini—turkey, ham, salami, pepperoni with cheddar, provolone, swiss and mayo on rosemary ciabatta (what?!)—and it was indeed super duper. Usually I find that "everything" sandwiches are way too cumbersome and messy to eat comfortably and whilst maintaining one's dignity in public, especially on a bread that can be chewy or crusty (like ciabatta)—not this one: the bread was soft and fresh, the mayo not too heavy, the cheese just perfectly melted, but still warmed all the way through. I also had a latte, which was, to be expected, up to par. I was surprised to see they also serve a respectable variety of wines by the glass or bottle and beer in cans and bottles too.

Great breakfast burrito. Interesting sweets. Frosty AC for dodging the heat. Just a couple chairs and small tables on the sidewalk for outdoor seating. Weird bathroom/utility closet.

I buy all my whole coffee beans here. They seem to be fresh, much more fresh than store beans. I don't have experience comparing Blooming Grounds to ALL the other coffees available in Winona, but I keep coming back because I like the friendly staff and the good selection of dark roasts.

I love the panini sandwiches! Excited that they opened a second Blooming Grounds in the Winona Mall. The staff are always friendly.
