The Historic Calumet is a MUST STAY! The staff are incredibly hospitable - they go above and beyond in assuring the BEST stay possible! The food is FANTASTIC! A great place for friends to get together to enjoy the extensive wine list. Both the restaurant and the lounge (with an absolutely gorgeous 12 foot bar dating back to the early 1900's) create a fun and exciting stay. The rooms have a warm, antique feel, and the quartzite rock wall throughout the 4 story hotel is breathtaking. My stay was amazing - yours will be too! I've lived here for 30 years, and I can honestly say: Ever since the Smrkovski family took over, the place has never been cleaner and friendlier! I've never enjoyed bringing my friends and family here as much as I have with Vanda and her mother running the place! Take what you see on Fox as hyper-entertainment, please. Come find out for yourself!

I absolutely love the Historic Calumet Inn. It's a gorgeous, historic hotel located in the charming town of Pipestone. The staff at the Calumet are extremely accommodating and put a huge emphasis on making customers happy. The owners, Vanda and Rita, are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Vanda pours her heart and soul into the hotel and commits her time to making the place run smooth. Pretty much anything you need or want during your stay, Vanda will make it happen! The wait staff is very friendly and make the dining experience enjoyable. The food is phenomenal. I particularly recommend the oriental cashew stir fry or the chicken bacon ranch wrap, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! If you are looking for a historic, clean, friendly hotel to stay at the Historic Calumet Inn is the perfect choice!

I eat at this restaurant at least once a week, and have never had a bad meal! I love the homemade Thousand Island dressing on my fresh garden salad, seasoned french fries and augraten potatoes paired with a steak or burger. You can't go wrong! I have eaten the Sunday brunch several times and love the fresh fruit and homemade caramel and cinnamon rolls. The Sunday Brunch has a great selection of entrees to choose from. The atmosphere is overall friendly.

The Historic Calumet is a gem, located on the historic downtown district of Pipestone. The atmosphere is charming and inviting. The restaurant/lounge is the perfect place to socialize with friends. Whether you're looking for a historic inn or a good dining experience, you'll be pleased. The menu is very affordable and delicious! The Smrkovski family has, and continues to pour their heart and soul into this establishment...and it shows. I highly recommend it!

I stayed here for a week once. And I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The hotel staff and owner were nothing but delightful and catered to my needs eloquently. The building is full of character. Each room has its own name and feel. If you're looking for a hotel that has an original flair and a unique hometown feel. The Calumet is the place you're looking for.
