Pleasant House Three Oaks
Reviews
We were excited to try a new place in the area and this definitely looked promising. The food was actually quite good, my husband and I both had the Steak and Ale pies and mash. The kids had chicken tenders that I would actually eat. The portion sizes could be considered somewhat small, but we thought it was just right for lunch. However, I'm giving it three stars because the service was not good and it is definitely NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY. After we ordered, they left the printer paper menus on our table and my two year old was playing with hers. The server came rushing over and said, "I'll take those menus," and grabbed them all off of the table. My two year old immediately started crying and not one of the staff even flinched. When I went to the host stand to ask if they had a piece of paper the kids could draw on, he said no, not really and told me that kids always take the menus, so they have to reprint them every day. I would call that, literally, the cost of doing business. We also could not get waters refilled to save our lives. Plenty of servers, but more so standing behind the bar than serving customers. I'm a definite fan of the concept and it's great to another option in the area, but I don't think we would go back with the whole family.
A perfect addition to the Pleasant House empire. In addition to the fantastic savory pies that you also find in the Bridgeport location (with delicious apps, sides, and sauces), you get house made beer and carefully selected local wine. A must stop on anyone traveling through Southeast Michigan.
A ne pas rater, autant pour les excellentes bières brassées sur place que pour les pies typiquement britanniques.
