For some years now, I have heard stories and have even seen a documentary about the negativity of Walmart. The last Walmart that I visited was in Livonia, Michigan on 7 Mile Road. I was not very impressed by that location, but how does this big box store fare in a resort community?
Many of the items I saw on my trip there look like they had care given to them and are appealing to the eye. There were a small handful of cheaper items that did not look very pleasing. The store itself is pretty clean with few scraps of garbage, but many of their overhead television sets were either not working, had no signal, or were fizzing out.
Customer service is about average at this store. I was not helped by anyone myself (my mother had some help with her shopping though), but the happiness of the employees is pretty good.
