Photographed a Fall Wedding in 2014 and the staff and location was perfect. Even though it was a cold and rainy day, the staff worked hard to make everyone comfortable. The food is fantastic. There is tons of locations nearby for photography. I would highly recommend this location for your Wedding venue!
loved it! Had a two night stay, staff very friendly, room was very clean, bathroom was very clean with nice fluffy, not old and scratchy, towels. Ate at the restaurant twice, food was excellent and service very good. The grounds were well kept and beautiful.
An okay place. They were out of almost everything on the breakfast menu. Pillows - I kid you not - emitted a horrible odor when you first lay your head down that smelled like dry old man farts. LOL. Awful. Coffee in the morning was located way in the back of the dining room and the staff there always seemed annoyed when I would walk back to get some. Nice sized rooms and clean. Staff is friendly for the most part. They gotta fix that pillow smell, though.
Over the weekend we had lunch on the deck... The food was great, the service was great, and the view was great!!! We enjoyed it so much had dinner there with friends the next night… and again thought the food and service was great!
My wife and I stayed at the Leland Lodge Resort over the Memorial Day weekend and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the accommodations were a blend between up-north and 1970's. The setting is very pretty looking out over the golf course, and it was very convenient to town. We brought our bikes along and found the Lodge to be a great home base for our weekend. For anyone looking for a same old-same old hotel room, this is not the place you should stay. If you are looking to experience something different in a very nice part of northern Michigan, this should be on your short list of places to stay.
