After reading some of the reviews I was a bit worried to visit G's. I am happy to say that the food was delicious, our server was very attentive, and the manager came around and asked how everything was. The bread sticks, or "spears" as they are called, are indeed the best I ever had.
WARNING: G’s Pizzeria, Kalkaska, MI Be sure to check your food before you pay at this restaurant! We found out the hard way! The owner gives NO REFUNDS or takes NO RESPONSIBLE for burnt food that’s you can’t eat! Carry out foods is really where they make money! We were so embarrassed & horrified when we arrived at our friends with a “Carry Out” … to find such discussing food! We stopped back to inform the owner at G’s, but received only double talk! We will never go back to G’s again! They were not fair to us! If you’re hungry go to another restaurant in the area that is reputable & cares about their customers. It was an expensive lesson for us to learn!
We were hungry after returning from a trip and stopped in later in the evening. We ordered cheese bread and pizza. The cheese bread was excellent, nicely seasoned and very cheesy. The pizza was also quite good. I recommend it to anyone.
Decor sucks. Server was rude. Food took a long time to get out. Waited 10 minutes to get a salad. Fish was not fresh. Dining room empty.
The food here is great.
