this is a gay bar, FYI. No one warned me. Having my butt touched was a new experience, and 10/10 would not do again.
Metro is my favorite club in Kalamazoo, hands-down! Besides the great music & hot guys, they have an awesome outdoor patio where you can smoke and since it's fenced in you can bring your drink outside (unlike most bars in Michigan). The food is great, the serve pizza by the slice sometimes, plus cheap drink prices.
This is an amazing place to go to. On one side there is a jazz/bar club called The 411 Club where bands and groups perform live for your entertainment. Then on the other side is Metro, a bar/dance club that has a lovely patio to cool down at, a dance floor, and the bar area. Metro is a BIG place and it has a very relaxed environment. Then, what many people dont know, is that there is a diner in between the 2 called The Metropolitan Diner. This little diner is a nice place to go if you would like a lot of food for a cheap price. The Food is of really high standards. There is an open window towards 411 so if a band plays, you can sit, watch, and listen to them play. If you come in, you can find out who plays. The diner has two wonderful cooks Lil' Robert and Momma who work hard to make your stay very enjoyable. I go here a lot and not once have I been let down. Also, if you have heard stories that may make you think low of the clubs, go one night and see for youself. It is an awesome place to go and hang with friends where you can go and dance, and have a drink, and just have a good time. So someday go and check it out. You will not be sorry.
I was very disappointed with Metro. Not only was the chill space slim to none but they kicked my girl friend out of the womans bathroom because she was a lil butch. Im sorry but if your bar has such a gay following maybe your bouncers should be clued in to what a dyke is.
Metro Diner & Nightclub is a great place to go to during the day for lunch its also a fantastic place to go after work for dinner and drinks. The staff is friendly and all about service!
