I still have yet to try something here that I don't like! The food is prepared well, spectacular view of the portage, and it's a great atmosphere. I like that the restaurant isn't too large, it keeps the place pretty low key. However, every time I go, the service is so slow. The servers are fine, nothing in my orders have ever been wrong! I also know the service is pretty slow most days, so I go on days when I have no plans and I really don't mind waiting. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place, just not if you're in any kind of hurry.

Rude wait staff, exceptionally slow service. Not an apology to be found either. It was easily the worst dining experience of my life. Probably not representative for the place, but I would not wish that experience on anybody.

We ate at the Library on a slow Thursday night. After being seated, it took 15 for them to take our drink order, and another hour for our food to arrive after ordering. The food was not horrible, but it was not worth an hour wait. One friend ordered a personal pizza, and the sauce was definitely Gordon Foods brand. Feel free to pick up one of the many books sitting around, you'll be in for a long wait.

Disappointed. Don't get the Epicurean "sandwich" if you are hungry. The menu reads: Roast beef and cheddar cheese on top of a BLT, tripledecker - $8.95 My experience: Two wimpy little flaps of roast beef, fairish amount of cheddar cheese, fair amount of bacon, absolutely NO lettuce or tomato, The tripledecker refers to what? Felt like a 0.5decker - $8.95 Side of Brew City fries: Medium to small portion - $1.95 I am trying to be accurate, not insulting or angry. I I felt like I paid $10.90 for about $3.00 worth of food. Toast was dry, maybe because it took one minute to cook and 20 minutes to get to the bar. If my one experience is any indicator of the other dishes, it blows my mind that they can stay in business. Positives: The building is pretty cool. Good location. Close parking. Didn't try the beer.

Excellent! Appetizer was delicious and our steaks were perfectly cooked. Service was exceptional as well, and the view of the snowy slopes across the canal was awesome. Highly recommended.
