Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Terrible service on 3-22-15. Fries where as cold as a Michigan winter when they first came out. Took forever to get a refill. Not happy.
Yum! The corned beef and cabbage dish served in March is my absolute favorite! Pancakes and warm maple syrup is a close second!
I have a hard time forgiving being served the thinnest grits I have ever had and then being refused a "fix" because it would allegedly be impossible to fix them because they are 20 minute grits. They looked like quick cook grits to me (3 minute grits) because the grit was finely cut. However, it is a moot point because the sub-par quality with the expectation that I shut up and eat it the way it is served has rubbed me the wrong way for the last time. We have eaten at this restaurant a lot over the last decade or so and we periodically quit going there because of situations like this. Whenever the quality is not what it should be it is always followed with the kitchen's unapologetic refusal to fix it or serve something else. Were it not for their wonderful wait staff, we would not have gone back time and again over the years to give them a second chance. The recent grits issue sealed the deal for me, however. Never going back there again. For the prices on their menu they really ought to have better quality food than that.
