Leelanau Coffee Roasting Company
Reviews
I had high hopes for this place as I always make sure to stop into any coffee place that labels themselves as a roasting company. Unfortunately i walked into a generic cafe front with your standard pick of flavored, decaf and dark roast coffees. Although, the coffee appears to be brewed in a french press which is a plus. If you are a casual coffee lover looking for a daily cup this place will be fantastic! For the hardcore coffee lover looking for a roaster serving 3rd wave coffee in manual methods I would skip this.
If you find yourself in the middle of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore, and you need a cup of coffee, this is where you should go. The business model seems based about quantity over quality, as they personally roast almost 100 varieties of coffee, and the ones I tried were not particularly noteworthy. You might have a totally different experience if you're into flavored coffee, as when I was there, only two of the six air pots contained traditional coffee.
Not so great of coffee expensive and really not worth the trip sorry I went there
Fantastic coffee. Cafe cubano is excellent.
If you're in Glen Arbor and smell burnt toast, it's LCR. Beyond the odor they brew up every couple days when roasting their Coffee, Leelanau Coffee Roasters' joe is alway tasty and their workers are some of the friendliest in town. It won't be the least expensive cup of coffee in town but it will be the best.
