Wow! Great prices with HUGE portions. Near our cottage. Our first time here last night. The owner visited the tables. Very friendly. Bar was central but family friendly!
You may not expect much from a restaurant along a rural highway in northwest Michigan, but this place was great. The Swiss mushroom burger on a pretzel roll was great. The fries were great. The BLT was great. The Philly sandwich was great. I even liked the ice they put in my Pepsi - a lot. We had to teach the bartender how to properly make a Manhattan (she was sure it was only whiskey and vermouth), but she was very good-natured about it. (Plus, few women are as naturally beautiful.) The owner greeted us and thanked us for coming in (a real plus) and our waitress was very attentive and sweet (and pretty, but not related to the bartender). Go to this restaurant. You may even consider a drive in the country just to eat there. If you go, order a Manhattan.
WOW! What a great place to eat. The philly steak nachos are the hidden gem but the whole menu looks wonderful with a good selection of drinks. Perfect for passers by on their way up and down US 31 going to and from their favorite Michigan spot, and even better for locals because we can enjoy anytime! Thumbs up Doc!
