I love Shorts beer and this pub of theirs. It's ideal for any of the crazy Michigan weather you might find yourself within. Perfect spot post skiing/snowboarding days on the mountains. Refreshing, fun energy in the summer evenings, or stormy afternoons that keep us off the lake. We used to be sad when it rained... The selection of beer is huge and such unique flavors. The merchandise is fun and the staff is casual, super friendly, and mellow. It's cabin-y inside, wood interior, and they usually have live music in the evening. The beer is great, and they've got food, too. Great and filling pizzas and awesome apps. My dad got married here last summer, it's kinda part of the family :)

We love Short's! We stop in from downstate a couple times a year. This last weekend the weather Up North wasn't the best so that made time to visit Short's TWICE! Yay! I have to say the food, beer, and service are the best. A special call out to "Old Baldy" which is a GREAT beer. Please, please, please continue to brew this "experimental" beer. It is a crown jewel among the many gems you already have.
What can I say about Short's. I love their adventurous spirit. Does it always work out well? No. Do they sometimes go over the top with oddball adjuncts? Uh huh. Nevertheless, I'll drink Huma all Summer long, and Bellaire Brown all Winter. The Pub is fun. They bring live music, and all their menu items are named after Ween Songs. So that's fun. Way to keep it local and keep it in Michigan!
Outstanding beer, good food! Sat at a long table with some folks we didn't know and talked about beer. Music was basically shuffling my personal music collection. Well worth the trip to beautiful downtown Bellaire.
