On Saturday night, I had the BEST meal I have had in over a year at the Frog & Turtle. The service was excellent, the vibe was great, and every single aspect of the meal over exceeded my already high expectations. I could not recommend this place any higher. In response to earlier reviews- yes the prices are higher than average, but that only coincides with the quality which is MUCH higher than average. Would LOVE to come back as soon as possible.
Worst service. Waited forever to get our food. People came and went before we were served. No apologies from waitress. This is not is an isolated incident. Has happened before. I'll spend my hard earned money elsewhere
I've been there several times for business dinners and also meals with friends. Have had excellent meals. I'm now eating gluten free and they have one of the best GF beers (Omission) and because they cook to order, can make most things gluten free. One of my favorite restaurants in the greater Portland area.
I don't know what the two reviews below are talking about..I've been to the Frog and Turtle countless times and have never had a bad meal or unfriendly experience. Whether you order a cheaper meal from the bar menu or entree, everything is cooked to perfection. Even if something was a bit off, James is more than willing to correct the situation. The wait staff is always friendly to my wife and I. Rest assured that the meal and service you get here is better than that of RiRa or Bull Feeneys (both establishments I frequent,just not sure how they could be compared to the hospitality and warmth of F&T).
This restaurant has always been at the top of my list. Love the food, drinks, music and atmosphere here! Quality food made from scratch! Try the handmade donuts on Sundays for brunch!
